We sat down with our Front of House Assistant, Claire Culleton. Over a good old-fashioned cup of tea we found out more about her life.

Tell us a bit more about yourself and your interests?
I used to be cabin crew for Ryanair from 1999 to 2016. I flew quite a few famous people like Prince Harry, Mr Motivator, Chris Akabusi, Ken Doherty and the boxer, Steve Collins. When I was younger I was in the Girl’s Brigade and I used to play the Snare Drum. I was also a member of the Modernian’s Swimming Club.

If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?
Mind reading. I think I’m a bit psychic because I can sometimes tell what’s going to happen in the future and I have been able to tell people things about themselves that I shouldn’t be able to know.

Who is your biggest inspiration?
My grandparents and my parents, they’re people who I look up to. Celebrity wise it would have to be Alison Hammond- she’s big and bubbly, the friend you want in your life.

If you could make one life-changing decision what would it be?
I would say moving to a private island somewhere hot with my family. I could host parties for all my friends there as well.

Do you have any pets?
Yep, a cat called fudge. He looks like Garfield, big and fluffy.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
Cabin crew- I was right!

Who was the last person you hugged?
Sharon in the Coffee Bar to say good morning before we started our shift.

If you could be stranded on a desert island who would it be with and why?
My husband, Cully. It would give us a chance to have some time just the two of us with no phones, no work and no contact with the outside world.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Liars and cheats.

What is your favourite food?
I have a sweet tooth, so I’d say lemon meringue pie and my mum’s chocolate toothpaste tart. My favourite savoury food would have to be a roast beef dinner.
