Tucked away on the banks of the River Ivel near Biggleswade, Jordans Mill is in the heart of Rural Bedfordshire.
At one time there were over 400 Mills in Bedfordshire, Jordans Mill is now only one of a handful of working watermills in the country. Lovingly restored, Jordans Mill provides the visitor with a fascinating insight into the heritage of flour milling in Britain and the unique story of the Jordan family.
Visit the Mill and its unique Mill Gardens and combine your visit with either a tasty lunch or afternoon tea in the Riverside Cafe.
Enjoy an insightful tour of this historic Mill (leaving from reception), with our knowledgeable tour guides.
After the tour you are free to explore our Mill Gardens, Mill Meadow and Woodland area.
The Mill Gardens (originally designed by Chelsea Flower show gold medal winners) are unique food and flower gardens where crops, vegetables and fruits are grown in an ornamental setting alongside wild flowers and cultivated garden plants. Cereals such as oats, rye, wheat and barley are grown in rotation with other crops like potatoes, onions and cabbages and showcase a number of farming and the protection of wild life habitats.
