LET'S GO WILD
Outside, our Let’s Go Wild Activity Passport helps little ones go on the hunt for wildlife in the Mill Meadow and Woodland and learn more about where their food comes from in the Mill Gardens. See if they can spot the very shy Whizzer, our resident kingfisher, and complete the pages of their Passport to earn a set of special badges.
Pick up your Passport today from the shop. Receive a Let's Go Wild Passport FREE with the purchase of every children's meal in the Riverside Café.
There’s plenty for our younger visitors to discover in and around Jordans Mill. With a Let’s Go Wild Passport, kids can get closer to nature during their visit. The Passport takes children on a journey with Whizzer the Kingfisher around the Mill Garden to find out where their breakfast comes from, and continues through the Mill Meadow to explore the local wildlife.
Colourful passport badges can be collected by fact-finding, spotting wildlife, completing the rubbings trail, doing our puzzles and colouring in a picture.
Let’s Go Wild costs £1.50 per child. No booking is required.
MILL MEADOW
AND WOODLAND
Our Mill Meadow and Woodland areas are fantastic for younger visitors to let off steam. They can spot bees in the summer in our beehives and meet our resident sheep in the winter, with lambs often about in the springtime. The woodland has a host of games and wildlife attractions to discover including a balancing beam, log path, teepee, throw a cone game and an insect hotel.
KIDS AT
THE RIVERSIDE CAFE
For hungry tummies, the Riverside Café offers a selection of freshly prepared children’s meals including a build-your-own lunchbox option and a child-sized cooked breakfast.

CHILDREN'S TRAILS
Throughout the year we run regular fun and educational children's activity trails to capture your child’s imagination in the school holidays. Our Children's Activity Trails are located in the Mill Gardens, Meadow and Woodland and trail sheets can be purchased from the Mill Shop.
This is what one local Mum had to say about our Trails;
"I just wanted to reach out to say thank you for your brilliant trails for kids, they are so creative and fun for all. I’ve taken my son to every one since the 3D Halloween trail back in 2020, when he was just 2yrs old and he adores them. It’s a staple part of our school breaks now “when are we going to Jordan’s Mill? What trail is it this time?” tied in with either a brekkie before or a hot chocolate and slice of cake after at the cafe, it’s a perfect morning out"
If you're looking for things to do with the kids in Bedfordshire, Jordans Mill provides a great day out. Check our news or events page for upcoming details.
