Latest Announcements: Open Bank Holiday Monday & 7 Days A Week For Half Term!

Keep up to date with everything that's going on at Jordans Mill and never miss a thing.

We want to take this opportunity to thank our current volunteers for giving up their time to help us in our mission to keep our food heritage alive. Without all their hard work, none of this would be possible.  Holme Mills relies heavily on the work of volunteers within our Mill Museum, Gardens and during our on-site events. They have taken up various positions as Tour Guides, Archivists, Gardeners, Stewards and more!

With the Summer months approaching, our volunteers will be busier than ever! They’ll be running tours for large coach parties and making sure that our Garden, Woodland and Meadow remain in tip top condition, ready for our visitors to take a stroll in the sun.

Jacket Potatoes & Gardening Week

We are pleased to announce that Jacket Potatoes are back on our menu!

You spoke, we listened. Following customer feedback, we have added our much-loved jacket potatoes back onto our Riverside Café’s lunch menu!

There are a range of fillings for you to choose from, including: baked beans, cheese, tuna and chilli. (Prices vary).

Our Bee Hives have a new home!

Did you know that we have our very own Bee Hives on site?

These Hives were under the trees in the meadow and have now been moved so that our Bees are in a position to benefit from more sunlight. Their new home is in a small wild flower meadow behind the River Ivel, which can be seen from the main car park.

Our Bee keeper, Chris checked the hives a few weeks ago once the weather had warmed up and they were starting to become more active.

We sat down with our Front of House and Retail Assistant, Amanda Sloane. Over a good old-fashioned cup of tea we found out more about her life.

Tell us a bit more about yourself and your interests?
I’m a mum of three, soon to be a grandma for the first time! I love baking and I enjoy going on dog walks.

If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?
Healing hands so that I could just touch someone and they would then automatically feel better.

Why not try a Self-Guided tour of our Mill Museum!

Buy an adult’s Self-guided tour ticket and receive a voucher for £1 off a hot drink within our café!

Costing just £2.50 per ticket, the Self-guided tour is a great way to browse the Mill at your own pace. With our self-guided leaflet as your guide, you’ll find out more about the process of milling flour and the history of the Jordans family.

All of our Mill machinery will be in operation during your visit and there’s also a ten-minute video on the top floor which outlines the vital role that each machine plays within this system.
