Like all hospitality businesses, the last 18 months have been exceptionally challenging for our small team at Jordans Mill, and as we approach September, we have taken the decision that will allow our team to take a bit of a breather from what has been a hectic summer for us.
To enable our team to take a well-earned rest and recharge their batteries, from 1st September you will see a few simple changes in our Café and Coffee Shop service:
- We will be reducing our opening days – we will be open from Thursday through to Sunday each week.
o We know that many of our regular Wednesday visitors will be disappointed, and we sincerely hope you will be able to join us on another day of the week instead.
- Our menu will be simplified to include:
o A simple breakfast sandwich option between 9am and 11:30am
o A cold lunch menu of sandwiches and baguettes from 12:00noon to 3:00pm, supplemented with a hot Holme-Made soup option
o We continue to offer our fabulous locally home-made cakes and bakes along with the same great range of hot and cold drinks
o Watch out for some enticing Specials and Weekend Treats from time to time too!
Our Mill Shop will continue to offer the same great service and range of products including store cupboard ingredients, gifts from local producers and our exceptionally successful range of Holme-grown plants.
Our Gardens and Meadow remain open and we look forward to launching our Autumn / Halloween Trail in time for the Autumn Half Term holidays.
We have been delighted in the level of interest and the number of questions we have had about when the Mill will re-open for tours. We have exciting plans ahead, including a refurbishment and reimagining of the Mill Tour Experience and as a result, the Mill building will remain closed through the Autumn and Winter. News of our re-launch plans will be shared in the New Year.
I am sure you will join us in taking time to thank each and every member of our team at Jordans Mill for their tireless hard work and dedication to make it through to here with a smile on their faces.
We look forward to your continued custom and continued good health
Bill and David Jordan
