At Jordans Mill you can step back in time in our historic flour mill, home to the Jordan family for over 150 years, and see first-hand how flour was once produced here.
Lovingly restored having stopped milling in 2000, the 19th Century Mill has been divided in two by a spectacular floor-to-ceiling glass screen, with the working part of the Mill on one side and a contemporary display area on the other.
Our knowledgeable and friendly tour guides, who are all volunteers, will take you on a fascinating tour of the Mill including a demonstration of the milling machinery and tales of the Jordan family’s journey from farming and milling to cereals. Or, you can wander the Mill independently (we’ll provide you with a map).
During the autumn and winter months Guided Mill Tours are available on Saturdays and Sundays at 11.30am and 1.30pm. Advance booking is advised, please call 01767 603940 to book.
Guided Tours from Monday to Friday are available via prior arrangement, please call 01767 603940 to enquire.

Discover even more about the Jordan family and food production in the local area in the fascinating Mill Barn located next to the Mill. It’s a great place for our younger visitors (and those a little older!) to learn more about milling through fun, interactive displays and information boards.
The Mill Barn also provides the perfect space for our popular children’s craft workshops, which take place on selected dates during most of the school holidays.
