Jordans Mill is partnering with The Rotary Club of Biggleswade Ivel as part of the campaign to eradicate polio worldwide. Come along and help us plant 2,500 purple crocus bulbs by our Mill Meadow and join in our children’s Teddy Trail for the opportunity to win a gorgeous teddy bear.
The Rotary Club is supporting the nationwide initiative, Purple4Polio, with organisations up and down the country joining in to plant purple crocus bulbs as a symbol of the fight against this terrible disease.
The colour purple is symbolic in that it represents the colour of the dye placed on the little finger of a child on mass immunisation days.
Jordans Mill is proud to be supporting this worthwhile campaign and encourages members of the public to join us on Sunday 16th October and help plant these purple crocus bulbs. Donations for the Teddy Trail are voluntary. Free admission.
