Join the Biggleswade Green Wheel Community Walk on 8th May

Join the Biggleswade Green Wheel Community Walk on Sunday 8th May and raise money for your favourite cause, or take part just for fun!

Organised by the Rotary Club of Biggleswade Ivel, the Community Walk is a fun event for all the family with two walks of 3.5 miles and 7.5 miles respectively. Opened just over a year ago in March 2015, the Biggleswade Green Wheel is a 7 mile walking and cycling route around Biggleswade passing through areas of landscape, heritage and wildlife interest.

The Green Wheel was officially opened by Bill Jordan here at Jordans Mill and we are very proud to be a key landmark on the route and also the only refreshment stop!

The Community Walk event starts at 11am on Sunday 8th May from Jordans Mill with an entry fee of £5 per person over 16 (under 16s are free). All profits go to the Biggleswade Ivel Trust Fund for their charitable work.

There will be activities for children on the day to give them some encouragement on the way round including collecting 'stamps' at the information point and a photo quiz.

Certificates and medals will be presented to all those who complete their walk.

This promises to be a fun, active day out for all the family and a celebration of the wonderful Biggleswade Green Wheel.

Jenny and Debbie were invited to talk about National Gardening Week, which runs until Sunday 17th April, and about our very own Mill Gardens.

Nick also took the opportunity to benefit from Jenny and Debbie's wealth of knowledge and got some great tips on growing vegetables as well as sowing lawn seed.

In case you missed the interview, you can listen again here via iPlayer:
