It’s not just your run of the mill Easter at Jordans Mill this year! Our Easter Eggstravaganza has something for everyone from an Easter Chick Hunt to Easter Sunday lunch, children’s craft workshops, and Easter gifts and baking.
The festivities kick off on Good Friday with the Easter Chick Hunt, running every day over the Easter weekend until Monday 29th March. Children will love searching high and low throughout the gardens, meadow and woodland to find the Easter chicks hidden in their nests, with a bag of chocolate goodies to enjoy once all the chicks have been found. The Easter Chick Hunt costs £1.50 per child and is available while stocks last.
On Easter Sunday, relax in the Riverside Café and celebrate in style with a delicious lunch, freshly prepared by the talented team of chefs. For those looking for something a little lighter, there are plenty of other options on the menu to tempt the tastebuds.
The iconic Victorian Mill will be open throughout the Easter weekend with visitors able to enjoy a guided or self guided tour to fully appreciate the history of Jordans Mill.
Following lunch and a Mill Tour, the Mill Gardens, Meadow and Woodland are perfect place for a leisurely stroll admiring the stunning displays of flowers and crops, as well as the resident wildlife. Children will love exploring the grounds with the help of the Let’s Go Wild passport, a fun and educational trail including puzzles and games and a set of badges to earn. Plus, buy a children’s meal in the Riverside Café and receive a Let’s Go Wild passport free.
After the Easter weekend, children can take part in one of the craft workshops taking place on 5th and 7th April where they are sure to enjoy getting crafty and parents are sure to enjoy someone else clearing up the mess!
And Easter wouldn’t be Easter without Simnel Cake or Hot Cross Buns, and if you fancy making your own, why not try Jordans Mill’s very own recipes. Pick up the recipe cards from the Mill Store, where you can also pick up a few Easter gifts.
It’s all set to be an Easter to remember at Jordans Mill! For more details on our Easter activities, please visit our Easter page.
