The Prince of Wales has today visited Jordans Mill as part of a series of engagements in Bedfordshire. The Prince had a tour of the mill with Bill and David Jordan and met members of the Jordan family, including the youngest member of the family Isla, who is 11 months old, as well as Mrs Jordan, Bill and David's mother. He also met factory workers from the neighbouring Jordans Cereals factory and local business representatives who discussed export opportunities as part of a UK Trade & Industry exhibition. The Prince of Wales signed a special visitor book that will now be on display for future visitors to see.
Bill Jordan, who led the tour of the mill said: “It was an absolute privilege to provide His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales with a tour of the mill and visitor centre. Our head gardener particularly enjoyed meeting the Prince and showing him the new mill gardens, which demonstrate Conservation Grade; the field margins that farmers who supply Jordans Cereals have in place to protect wildlife.”
