The Mill

This historic Mill, home to the Jordan family for over 150 years, was revolutionary for its time and could be compared with the dawn of the internet age today. Milling was once a major industry in Bedfordshire with over 400 mills in the county alone. A fire at the mill in the late 1800s brought about the change from traditional stone milling to metal roller mills. This technological leap enabled the mill to increase production significantly and helped Jordans Mill to become one of the leading producers of flour in the region.

The Gardens

Come and enjoy walks all year round in the Mill Gardens, specially designed by Chelsea Flower Show winners Toll & Kitson. Discover Biggleswade's rich heritage of food production in the market gardens, including rare varieties of salad, potatoes and onions, that would have once been taken by train to London's produce markets. Sustainable food gardens provide an interpretation of best-practice growing systems, such as Conservation Grade, devised by Jordans Cereals for its growers.

The Jordans Shop

We are aware of how loved Mrs Jordans Mill Shop was, and are trying hard to offer a good selection of what was available there. We are also listening to everyone’s ideas and thoughts and will be updating the products to reflect this with some new items that we think that everyone will like. Jordans Mill Shop carries the largest range available locally of Jordans cereals products; from Crunchy and Frusli bars, to Muesli, Country Crisp and Granola packs (cheaper in bulk!).
